A Plea for Clemency to President Obama

Craig Cesal, a first time offender serving LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE for a nonviolent marijuana conspiracy offense, was recently denied clemency.  Craig’s crime involved nothing more than repairing trucks that had been used to haul loads of illegal marijuana.  The trucks belonged to a client of Cesal’s business. (Read more about Craig Cesal’s case here.)

When Craig’s clemency petition was denied, we suggested he immediately write to the President and ask him to reconsider.  He did and asked us to post the letter here so his supporters could read it.  We wrote a letter too as did Craig’s daughter Lauren.

You can help too! Please write to President Obama and ask him to reconsider granting nonviolent first time offender Craig Cesal clemency.  Craig’s daughter Lauren misses her father and desperately wants him to come home.

  1. The only drug Americans are allowed to take recreationally is alcohol, the most abused, deadly, and destructive drug in the world. If we use anything else we are branded criminals and drug addicts. This man is just another victim of tyranny in the land of the free.
The Constitution says no ex post facto laws. Every single law that has turned Americans into criminals for drug use is an ex post facto law. Never before in history were people put in prison for what they put in their blood system.
Our drug laws are cruel and unusual. With a stroke of your pen you could end this insanity.
    Please do.
